i might have changed my group a little bit! we had those days (like everyday) that atleast half the group (the boy half) didnt want to par-take because they didnt care if what grade you got!

i love blogging!! :) and yes it kept me updated on what was going on with everything!!

ive gotten an A every six weeks soo far! well the two outta three that weve had so far! and i plan on getting a third! :D

yes.... i can now find editing tools i didnt no existed!

yes, some days better than others! it would have been good everyday if the boys in the group would have quit saying they really dont care about your grades! but other than that the groups were fine!

The first thing to making a music video is you have to hand out each persons task! who's going to be singing and dancing and what not! second you have to pick your genre of music and the song you will be recording. then after you rewrte you song or what ever it is you need to do to make it your own, then you need to chooe you singer(s). they do not have to be perfect they just have to be willing to give it their all! :) after you pick your song and singers your ready to start the recording process. for the microphones we had you had to play your music, put your face right up the mic and singh into it! you will need one adition person to the singer(s) because someone has to be in charge of the items on sceen. such as the record button. when the time runs outs you must click the button again, or all your singing will be pointless. after you have all your song recorded to your groups liking then you're ready to film the actual video of it all. you set up your surroundings to what you need them to be put every dancer/performer in their place and begin! do not go over 4 minutes! but make it over 2! after your have the video or the peices you need to put it all together than you can edit! you need to edit everything and make it all run smoothly and look good! you put the music in the background and peice together your video...add credits, a beginning page, anything else you feel you need or you need to make your time, save, watch, and enjoy! =D

Umm, i dont exactly know which i enjoyed more! the plain videos were easier, but the mucis video had more things to put into it, more fun thing to do for it! it was just funnier! soo i cant really answer which was my favorite. they both have likes and dislikes with me. :)

the easiest part of filming is the brainstorming! haha. sad, yet very true. it is not easy doing a video but the over all satisfaction you get from it is worth the work!

the most difficult thing is getting your group members to do eveyrthing! haha. and the second would be the editing! trying to get everything in its place and as perfect as you possibly can! the tool to edit is not the easiest tool on the computer and it takes some common sense to figure out!

i was the leader! :D i was happy! i think i did a good job! well i think i am doinga good job so far! weve only recorded our song so far but it went really well and i am happy with it! and i know atleast ashley is too! travis and frank could care less but thats okay because im leader and they will be in the video...as i like them to be!! dancing and eveyrthing! haha. but im a good leader. *i think*

i think ashley has been the best leader! i choice ashley because she is the one with the best ideas, i mean everybody (mostly everbody) contributes but shes the main one always! she always has everything in order! she always has the things we need and want ready to go! shes never let the group down and to me that makes a pretty great leader!

ms g i am going to miss picking out pretty colors for each little parts of my blogs for you! :( haha.

yes and no; i understand that the indians did not want people taking over their land and that they felt they didnt have to share because they were there first! but i still am unsure why the british were so into takin land?!

for me yes the paper did work better. im starting to think that i learn better from books and everything than i do from doing soomething productively! maybe thats just the type of person i am... or maybe i jus dont lik doing anything! it could be me being lazy. its jus that i feel by opening a book or reading a paper and doing work on it, youre really learning.

yes i want to know what started it? why all of a sudden to like a hundred wars break out?

i really hope we have time to work on our lyrics in class because if we do not i feel that my group is going to be doing poorly! every video weve made hasnt been very good and now we are doing a music video which i am not ready for at all and its making me nervous. this video may be our worst one yet!

i would definatly say i would rather choice the genre of music. any topic you get shouldnt be hard if you have a good since of the type of music your using!

I found it interesting that even with all these wars occuring they still had time to build a line of forts that ran on for miles and miles! Its just incrediable that they built so many forts and still had time to fight!

I would probably rather do a two paged report! That way i can sit away from everyone and just focuse on what i am writing and not my surroundings!

We ate a lot!! I know that everybody back then when they had Thanksgiving ate just as much as we do now! I mean we had to get the idea to make soo many different foods and sweets from somewhere. And you know that having to feed the Indians and the other Pilgrams they had to make a lot of food!! Soo thats really the only thing i did over break that would relate to someone in the 1700's!

Umm throughout chapter 5, the thing i found most interesting was.... Probably the great awakening! Because the more i read about it, the more i wanted to read! It was just interesting. there are things i like to read and there things i dont and this happen to be one of the things i did enjoy!

I dont remember the videos to be honest. From what i can remember they seemed pretty even on telling about the section they were assigned! Im sure one group did a better job than the others but i do not remeber the videos!

Yes the cash crop questions. and also the questions on what they traded and who traded it!

Oh my gosh! i do not think our group is going to be doing a good job on this video at all! i am very scared for my grade on that video right now!! something tells me that is going to be very bad! maybe not for the groups who have singers or music freaks but for my group most definatly will be challenging!!!! im nervous now!

Film making has become easier for me because i know exactlyhow to work the camera i know what different characters and voices, etc that my group members can do or become. so that makes handing out parts easier! i know what group members will work the best. i think everything about film making has become easier! especially the editing part! :)

We havent ran into that many problems besides the one were you have to sream to be heard on the camera and i cant stand the fact that if even the littlest noise is in the background you can here it!

Travis was the leader and he gave some really good ideas and showed us to make our video come more alive! He did a surprisingly really good job! (when he tried)

I would like to be the leader i think. Either me or ashley. travis was way to much work til we finally got him to buckle down adn try and frank doesnt seem like hes that serious or a person to me! soo deffinatly would like to see one of us girls do it!

i really have to clue what we should do with the films.... i guess it really depends on the topic he get. and after i can see the topic then i can plug that into my imaginary part to my brain and think about it! :]

I did not like the test at all! I knew most of it but some of it was not in my head at all. Like i didnt even remeber learning some of it!

My group is filming about trade and industy in new england. Were making it into a dating show. Im really having fun with this one! :)

Well, i dont know because im not very creative. But if i had to think of a thing to try and do that eveyrbody would like and have to do then it would prolly be..... taking the old thing that we have to film about and making it modern day. Such as theydid with romeo and juliet.

The Massachusettes Bay Colony; being in about 1620; Charles I was king in 1623 and he made the situation, of many people losing their jobs, worse by raising taxes. There was many dissenters, people who disagree with official opinions. These economic, political, and religious problems in England led to the great depression. The colony's gorvernor was John Winthrop; and he wrote about the Puritans' goals. They made a covenant with God, and under this covenant, or sacred agreement, Puritans agreed to build an ideal Christian community. Several factors helped the Puritan colony do well.

Well since all they were really focused on was God and work i dont think anybody from this day in age would like hem very much. Or would have liked to have lived in that time. So i would say that i might not have a problem with them, but i wouldnt really want to be one!

Yes actually i kind of am looking forward to it because i want to see what types of things our new groupcan come up with and how well the new members interact with everybody!

I think i would like the women and the economy section and maybe the colonial education section. The reason being a am a girl and the reason for education would be because i think education is interesting. Like a really want to be a teacher for little kids. Maybe headstart or even maybe kindergarten. So i think i would like those sections!

BTW MISS G YOU LOOK GREAT WITH WHIPPED CREAM ALL OVER YOU FACE AND IN YOUR HAIR!!!!!! :D haha. i told you..... :)

Well i like when we watch a powerpoint and take notes! Im a note taking person, most the time! Soo i would give it a three. I wish that al the words were on the powerpoint soo that way you wouldnt have to waste your breath trying to talk to our rude, loud, and very chatty class! But thats my opinion. But yeah i love when we do that! Ha-Ha.

I dont remeber disliking anything this week! i had a good week! I loved the review game even tho we had 12 points and the others had 300 some. Ha-Ha. But i loved it!! And i really liked the article about the Lost Colony. It was interesting to me and i wanted too read more! :)

I dont think that i would ever want to be an explorer from back then because they had a lot of things that they needed and had to get or they died or didnt get paid or something bad like that! I wouldnt want the responsiblity of being responsible for finding a specific place and if i couldnt then i wouldnt get anything! Or i would be killed in the process!

I loved my group change!!!!! :D :D :D

If i was to rate our video, i honestly rate it very high. maybe just a three. we worked better together this time than last time and we had fun with it, but just by watching our video you are not going to understand what is going on in the pages we were assigned. It doesnt really make since. So, yeah just a three.

Yes the movies distracted me. i dont know about any other of my group members but it did me! they were running around and screaming while we were trying to do a silent movie. and we even had to use the same table as one group because they took it over before we got there!

We havent watched any videos yet.. but i already know i wish we had a different topic.

Do i think its difficult to think of an idea to express history? Yes! Our group did not do a very good job i think of telling you what our pages were about. But Ashley was the leader. I am not saying that i could do a better job but, i think as a group we could have. But yes its very hard. I dont even think we really did it! haha.

Who did i best work with? I can tell you that it wasnt Megan!! haha. sorry but oh my gosh! haha. Umm i would have to say Ashley. Travis was okay sometimes but overall i work better with Ashley.

Ashley Perdue was our group leader and i think she did a good job as leader! Out of us four shes probably the best one to be leader truthfully. She did her very best to try and think of a good role for everyone and she was very good with the timing of everything and getting people to do what she thought was the best way to show our section. Tho as a group we should have come up with a better way to show people what oiur section was about. The more i look at what others did i dislike ours a little more wach time! But i love that we did a silent movie!

Our time was very good. We managed our time really well!!!! We got everything shot in really one day but we had some camera issues so we had to redo everything the next day. So our time was very well managed considering our set back.

My role in the movie was the slave onwer. I owned indians as slaves! If i was to change anything i would change the whole script i guess you could call it! we could have thought of something more creative and a better way to show people what our pages were about! i really dont think people are going to be able to watch our video and say hey thats such and such and he did this this and this. But again i love that we did a silent movie! :)

The thing I remember most about the lecture and also the thing I feel is the most important, is that not every person that tried to find a way to North America, is from the same place. Or of the sam origin. There was Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, and Ducth peoples who all tried. In which very few did succeed.

Am I excited to film the next section? Well, I honestly havent been over the next section yet soo I do not know what it talks about soo I really am not sure! I know that I do not care to much for the filming over all because I am camera shy but... I suppose if its not that boring and my group works well on the topic, then it will not be that bad!

If I could have one more person in my group it would probably have to be.... Lisa, Taylor, or Alexis. I do not care for my group! The only person you can actually have a conversation with really is Ashley Perdue. The reason I chose those three is because everybody got somebody they talk too all the time. Someone that is there friend! Andmy group is four totally different people put together and being forced to work together when we really have no clue how to even interact with each other. Ive been friends with Lisa, Taylor, and Alexis soo if one of them was in my group then I wouldnt feel soo alone and soo bad about doing a video!

Our planning in our group wasn't anything huge. We bascially got together and just wrote down a little about each other. Even if we werent sure thats what we were going to be saying! haha.

Truthfully I am not sure. I work better with some then others but over all I guess they are an okay group! Not 100% perfect but okay! haha.

The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on 17, 1775. It was part of the American Revolutionary War.

I do not have any problems using the camera/video typer, but I am still kinda fuzzy about the video maker on the computer. it has a lot of very different things that I am not used to on it!

Blog 1.

My first impressions of my early American history class were that it was going to be not so fun. Mostly because she was talking about how we would have to stand infront of the class a lot and do a lot of group projects. And I am not really a fan of talking infront of people or working in groups! So, I was not very excited.

Well, I do not like history so I would rather not be learning any of it! Therefore I do not really have anything I want to learn about.

The largest obstacle for me in class would be the videos that we are being expected to do! I do not like group work, speaking in public and definatly not a fan of making videos!! I have made a video for a class before and I did not find it enjoyable. I didn't want to do it so my part was horrible in the movie and my fellow group members were not happy. I did not work well with them! I just don't see why we have to make videos! And with people that we would probably never talk to outside of the group and/or this class!
